Dr. Fatih Karahan, Governor, Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye

On April 16, the Atlantic Council IN TURKEY & Turkey Programs and GeoEconomics Center organized a roundtable in Washington, DC, featuring Dr. Fatih Karahan, Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye, accompanied by Deputy Governors, Dr. Osman Cevdet Akçay and Prof. Hatice Karahan. The roundtable, moderated by Atlantic Council GeoEconomics Center Deputy Director and C. Boyden Gray Senior Fellow, Charles Lichfield, was part of the Atlantic Council IMF-World Bank Week series. The roundtable covered Turkish monetary policy and topics ranging from the ongoing fight against inflation to digital currencies.

The Atlantic Council in Turkey, which is in charge of the Turkey program, aims to promote and strengthen transatlantic engagement with the region by providing a high-level forum and pursuing programming to address the most important issues on energy, economics, security, and defense.
