Bob Gourley is a nonresident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council’s GeoTech Center. He is the co-founder and chief technology officer (CTO) of the Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence consultancy OODA LLC. OODA is the publisher of CTOvision.com and OODALoop.com.

Bob’s first career was as a naval intelligence officer, which included operational tours in Europe and Asia. A pioneer in the discipline of cyber threat intelligence, he was the first director of intelligence (J2) at DoD’s first joint cyber defense organization, the Joint Task Force for Computer Network Defense (JTF-CND). Following retirement from the Navy Bob was an executive with TRW and Northrop Grumman, and then returned to government service as the chief technology officer (CTO) of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).

Since departing DIA, Bob has participated in numerous government advisory boards as well as corporate boards. He is a frequent speaker on topics of artificial intelligence, the future of technology, and real world cybersecurity.
