
Dorian Obreajan
Dorian Obreajan is a program assistant at Atlantic Council Romania, where he supports its digital communications and events. He has over ten years of experience in European Union affairs, international relations, and public diplomacy, with a focus on security and defense.
He brings substantial experience from both Brussels and Bucharest, including roles within the European Parliament, as well as in the think tank and consultancy spaces. He has worked on media relations, stakeholder engagement, and digital communication strategies while contributing to the organization of policy debates, press engagements, and outreach campaigns linked to European legislative and political processes. He contributed to communication and outreach efforts around the 2019 European Parliament elections, supporting a transnational awareness campaign on democratic participation. He also helped coordinate policy events and stakeholder engagement initiatives at the EU level.
In Romania, he has been involved in large-scale public diplomacy and international engagement projects, including the World Experience Platform, one of the largest multicultural diplomacy platforms in Central and Eastern Europe. He has also worked in training and outreach initiatives, such as the NATO Youth Academy and the Diplomatic Backstage Program, which is aimed at strengthening dialogue between institutions, experts, and young professionals.
Obreajan holds a master’s degree in diplomacy and international negotiations and a bachelor’s degree in international relations and European studies. He speaks Romanian, English, and French, and combines policy understanding with hands-on expertise in communications, digital outreach, and event coordination in an international environment.
