Henri Vanhanen

Henri Vanhanen is a nonresident fellow with the Transatlantic Security Initiative at the Atlantic Council’s Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security. He also works on government affairs and policy at NestAI. His work focuses on foreign, security, and defense policy topics concerning Finland, Northern Europe, and the Euro-Atlantic region.

Previously, Vanhanen has worked as a special adviser in the European Parliament, a specialist at Finnish Defense and Aerospace Industries (PIA), and a research fellow at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs. He has also served as a foreign policy adviser for Finland’s National Coalition Party and a parliamentary assistant for the Parliament of Finland.
