Colonel Jon Dunne is a nonresident senior fellow in the Atlantic Council’s Forward Defense program in the Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security. Dunne is a three-decade Marine, who currently serves as the chief of staff for Marine Corps Combat Development Command, the Marine Corps’ modernization command. An enterprise planner, Dunne has been at the center of the Marine Corps requirements, resourcing, and risk mitigation efforts for the past seven years. He has actively engaged in force design and force development endeavors with direct ties to strategy, policy, capabilities, concepts, resourcing, and acquisition.
