
Silvian Trandafir is a program assistant at Atlantic Council Romania. In this role, he manages press relations and strategic communications, supports stakeholder engagement and strategic partnerships, and coordinates high-level events. He also acts as a liaison with the Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Center and the Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security, contributing to integrated communications and program delivery.
Previously, he served as a ministerial advisor for public relations and communications in Romania’s energy ministry. In this role, he led its communication strategy and supported major international initiatives, including Partnership for Transatlantic Energy and Climate Cooperation (P-TECC) Bucharest, the Green Corridor Ministerial, Vertical Corridor Ministerial, and the Romania–Japan Energy Forum.
Trandafir holds a BA in communications and public relations and a master’s in European public administration. He is currently pursuing a PhD in communication sciences at the University of Bucharest, with a research focus on strategic communications in the defense and energy sectors.
