On October 5, Matthew Kroenig, vice president and Scowcroft Center senior director, and Dan Negrea, senior director of the Freedom and Prosperity Center, were published in National Review. They argue that, while there is still widespread support for Ukraine’s fight against Russia, President Joe Biden needs to outline a clear strategy for the war in Ukraine in his speech to the nation.
[T]he president has an obligation to spell out his wartime strategy to the American people. He should do so without delay in his address to the nation. If he cannot articulate this, the resistance to his Ukraine-funding requests will likely continue to grow.
The Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security works to develop sustainable, nonpartisan strategies to address the most important security challenges facing the United States and the world.
