Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine may be closer to its end than its beginning. How it ends will matter not only for Ukraine, but for the whole of Europe and the wider world. While the war may seem like a distant conflict to many Americans, its outcome will have a profound impact on US security interests, particularly if Vladimir Putin prevails on the battlefield or at the negotiating table. To understand the high stakes, Emmy-winning television producer Joel Seidman and Emmy-winning former NBC News correspondent Kevin Tibbles traveled from the United States to where the potential global consequences of Putin winning are already evident: Russia’s neighbors.
Anchored by on-the-ground interviews with national security officials, military personnel, experts, and ordinary citizens from Sweden, Finland, Estonia, the United Kingdom, and the United States, the documentary examines the stakes of Russia’s war on Ukraine for all Americans.
