Bailey Galicia is a program assistant with the Atlantic Council’s Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security. In this role, he supports staffing management, plus provides broad support and leadership in implementing the Center’s vision and operations.
Before joining the Atlantic Council, Bailey interned with the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, where he focused on Europe, Eurasia, and public diplomacy oversight. Prior to his time in the Senate, he was a US Fulbright English teaching assistant in Bulgaria, where he spent a year educating Bulgarian high school students while coaching an English-speaking debate club.
He holds a joint master’s degree in security, intelligence, and strategic studies from the University of Glasgow, Dublin City University, and Charles University. His graduate thesis focused on foreign malign influence and its implications for US national security.
