On November 1, Transatlantic Security Initiative nonresident senior fellow Dr. David Auerswald authored chapter 8, “U.S. National Strategy in the Arctic,” in Defending NATO’s Northern Flank: Power Projection and Military Operations, edited by Njord Wegge and Lon Strauss. The book was published by Routledge. Dr. Auerswald’s chapter analyzes the United States evolving approach to military operations in the increasingly contested Arctic security environment.

The Transatlantic Security Initiative, in the Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security, shapes and influences the debate on the greatest security challenges facing the North Atlantic Alliance and its key partners.
