This year, hundreds of millions of voters across Europe and the United States will head to the polls and decide the future direction of the transatlantic relationship. Wars and conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East carry the potential to transform the Euro-Atlantic security architecture. Trade, the twin green and digital transitions, and the convergence of geopolitics and geoeconomics present unique challenges to policymakers in the United States, European Union, and the US-European relationship.

At this critical moment, the Europe Center’s Transatlantic Horizons series seeks to understand and set a forward-looking agenda for the United States and Europe for 2025 and beyond. Through public convenings and expert analysis, the series will unpack and explore the key issues confronting the transatlantic alliance, assess their implications for policymakers, and present a productive vision for US-European relations with practical recommendations for policymakers to hit the ground running in 2025.
